Abstract for Oral / Poster Presentation

Only abstracts attached with proof of registration and payment for the conference will be processed.

Each presenting author is responsible for their registration fee(s) plus the costs of their travelling and accommodation.

If the symposium proposal is accepted, the symposium proposer must gather and compile all the abstracts of each symposiast in a single Word document (*.doc, *.docx format).The symposium proposer then must email the document to the secretariat at a date to be decided later.

Each presenting author is responsible for their registration fee(s) plus the costs of their travelling and accommodation.

ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

The proposal for oral, symposium and e-poster will open on 31st March 2024.
The deadline for abstract submission is 31st July 2024.
The conference secretariat will inform successful applicants by 31st August 2024.

GUIDELINES:

  1. ABSTRACT FOR ORAL PRESENTATION
    • The presentation must be data-driven and relevant to the conference theme.
    • Each speaker will have a 15-20-minute presentation time; the secretariat will inform the speakers as soon as the program is finalised.

  2. ABSTRACT FOR SYMPOSIUM
    • The symposium is part of a presentation comprising a maximum of four speakers.
    • The symposia are data-driven, with each speaker presenting perspectives on different aspects of a topic or different views of the same topic.
    • The symposia lasts 90 minutes; depending on the number of speakers, each speaker will have a 15-20-minute presentation time.
    • The abstract proposer will collect the abstract from each speaker and send the proposal to the conference organisers.

  3. POSTER PRESENTATION
    • Posters are hypothesis-driven, and the authors will present their findings fromsignificant ongoing or completed research. As the presentation will be in the form of an e-poster, successful applicants will be given guidelines on preparing their e-poster. Presenters are required to record their presentation, which consists of them presenting their work. Each presenter will be given ten minutes to present.
    • The e-posters will be available on the conference website throughout the conference, and all conference participants will also see them.

  4. Please indicate whether the abstract submission is for oral, symposium or poster presentation.
The committee is trying to work with a journal to publish each abstract if the presenters agree to have their presentation(s) published. The committee will inform each presenter accordingly.

ABSTRACT REQUIREMENTS

  1. Abstract length: The abstract should be in English using the international scientific writing IMRAD method, with Arial, 12 fonts, 1.5 spaces, and a maximum of 300 words per author.
  2. Please enter all submitting authors in the order they should appear in the abstract heading. Kindly indicate the presenting author.
  3. Abstract: abstract should be submitted as a Word file.
  4. Each abstract must include:
    • Objective: the purpose of the study, research or presentation; Methods (if indicated): study design, sample selection, setting, subjects, interventions(s) if any and primary outcome measure(s); Results: main findings (giving their statistical significance, if indicated); and Conclusions.
    • Keywords: The author (s) should provide a maximum of 5 keywords for each abstract.
  5. Corresponding author: Please identify the corresponding author for the abstract. This individual will receive all communication regarding the abstract status from the organiser.
  6. Proof: Carefully check the proof of your abstract. If errors or changes are required, kindly make corrections and inform the secretariat.

Presenters of accepted abstracts must register for the 28th MCPM 2024 before the conference begins. Each presenting author is responsible for his/her registration fee(s) and travel and accommodation costs.

Presenters who cannot attend should arrange for another individual to present the oral paper/poster and inform the secretariat as soon as possible.
